Russia promises to deliver grain to 6 African states in 2023
MOSCOW, Oct 9 (PRIME) -- Russia plans to deliver grain to six African states in 2023 and will continue to provide humanitarian aid after that, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.
"At the Russia–Africa summit, President (Vladimir) Putin announced our decision to deliver a large batch of grain free of charge to six African states that are on the list of the World Food Program as a humanitarian aid. These deliveries will be made until the end of the year, and we will continue our humanitarian activities in the area next year," Lavrov said.
The official added that the Black Sea Grain Initiative cessation did not affect food security of developing states.
